When it comes to chronic wasting disease (CWD), it’s hard to be optimistic. Bad news stories follow one after the other.
In fact, after over 50 years of cautionary tales, most hunters (and some state wildlife agencies) seem to have decided that ignorance is bliss. To date, no management intervention has done much to stop the spread of the disease, and some states have begun to accept the inevitable.
