I don’t necessarily fashion myself a forager; however, I’ll certainly pick wild blackberries by the bucket when the gettin’s good, as it was last summer.
I used to perform futile searches for wild blueberries on nearby state land. But even the best of my friends refused to give away their secret hot spots, and I couldn’t seem to find the berries before being mauled by bugs, so I planted a few of my own bushes.
