For starters, it’s one of the smallest of the 11 Finger Lakes at 1,800 acres. Honeoye Lake is just slightly smaller, and nearby Canadice Lake is the smallest at a mere 649 acres.
But Hemlock’s uniqueness goes well beyond its size, or relative lack of it. Along with Canadice, it’s one of two Finger Lakes with virtually an undeveloped shoreline.
