Madison, Wis. — The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) invites the public to join DNR staff on Wednesday, Feb. 26, at the DNR’s Peshtigo Field Office in Peshtigo for the seventh meeting in a nine-part series focused on fisheries management in northeast Wisconsin.

This meeting is part of a Spotlight Series that highlights various fisheries in northeast Wisconsin and will provide an overview of the last 40 years of brown trout management, including trends in angler harvest, stocking strategies and ecosystem changes in the dynamic Green Bay system. The meeting will also cover the process of propagating brown trout for stocking into lakes Michigan and Superior, with an emphasis on Seeforellen (German) brown trout.
