When Scott Hale retired in December as the Ohio DNR Division of Wildlife’s (DOW) executive administrator of fish management, he could look back on 40 years of improvements, challenges, and successes in the world of piscatory oversight.
Hale was introduced to the world of angling very early in life. By the time he reached his sophomore year in high school, he was focused on becoming a fisheries biologist.
