It’s easy to be dismissive of hunting where it’s bound to be a challenge, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t some good opportunities out there on public land.
One such opportunity that gets almost no love is rabbit hunting. A generation or two ago, cottontails were a prized quarry. Today, they’re mostly overlooked. This a shame, because rabbit hunting can be a heck of a lot of fun, and there are worse critters with which to fill the crockpot.
