Making the case in support of invasive plant species in Pennsylvania isn’t a popular one, but sometimes the benefits to wildlife are undeniable.
Some of my best small-game hunting hotspots are dominated by invasives. Thick, nasty tangles of multiflora rose and autumn olive are havens for rabbits, as are old fields overgrown with Johnsongrass and bush honeysuckle.
