Oakland County’s Loon Lake is typical of southern Michigan inland lakes. It supports a strong panfish population and good numbers of northern pike, largemouth bass, and smallmouth bass. Occasionally someone will catch a walleye in Loon, likely one that swam upstream from Maceday Lake.
