A record number of wildfires blazed across Pennsylvania this fall as drought gripped the state.
At least 701 fires burned over 2,085 acres and included nearly every county, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, which had issued a burn ban in early November. The Pennsylvania Game Commission and many counties followed suit.
