The New Year will bring new regulations to two popular western Pennsylvania fisheries.
On Jan. 1, the catch-and-release-only restrictions on Tamarack Lake in Crawford County and on Glade Run Lake in Butler County will be lifted, according to the Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission, which has banned harvest on both impoundments since they were refilled and stocked within the past seven years. They each had been drained more than a decade ago for dam rehabilitation or replacement work.
