Additional roosters to be released during Michigan’s 2024 hunting season

Michigan's pheasant release program will have about 7,200 birds released this year on state game areas. (Stock photo)

The Michigan Department of Natural Resources says the pheasant release program on state game areas for the upcoming hunting season will be very much like last year with one exception – there will be about 1,000 more roosters released compared to last year.
