Legislation now under consideration in the Pennsylvania Senate rivets overdue notice toward the simmering tension, nationwide, between wildlife management and agriculture. It’s a huge concern, with far-reaching implications for farm viability, wildlife, hunting and conservation of intact landscapes.
If enacted, several bills in the Senate would remove our state’s prohibition on Sunday hunting. But farm interests, which long opposed Sunday hunting, wanted concessions before dropping their objection.
