H2Ohio partners with Intel Corp. to improve water quality in the Licking Watershed

Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine, the Ohio DNR (ODNR), and Intel recently announced a new H2Ohio partnership to protect and improve water quality in the Licking Watershed.
“Water means business here in Ohio, and we are excited about partnering with Intel on an H2Ohio project that aligns with a mission we are both dedicated to – protecting our water,” said DeWine. “I appreciate that Intel cares as much as we do about the quality of Ohio’s water.”

Ohio DNR coordinates with other agencies to clean up illegal dump site

As part of Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine’s H2Ohio Rivers program, the Ohio DNR (ODNR) Division of Natural Areas and Preserves and River Rangers International cleaned up an illegal dump site along the banks of the Little Beaver Creek State Wild and National Scenic River.
The H2Ohio Rivers program was announced by DeWine as an expansion of his statewide water quality initiative, H2Ohio.

Rare rattlesnake species found in Ohio

It is a timid little reptile that has received more than its share of publicity recently.
News stories about the eastern massasauga rattlesnake found during the Ohio DNR’s annual snake survey in May have spread across the country and into popular websites like Google News. While the snake is not common and is rarely even seen in the wild, it is found in a few select locations in the state, according to Kristin Stanford, wildlife diversity coordinator for the ODNR Division of Wildlife.
