During the past few years, I’ve watched with alarm as we find more and more invasive carp in the Mississippi River in southern Minnesota. I’ve worried about how far these fish will spread and how much damage they will cause. I’ve worried that a day will come when we stop boating on the river for fear of being injured by jumping silver carp.
However, we now have a reason for optimism: a $12 million investment from the Minnesota Legislature.
