Aggressive black bear euthanized in Vermont

After the bear adopted a predatory stance with its head lowered and began to approach and circle a responding game warden, the warden euthanized the bear. (Stock photo)

The Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department euthanized an aggressive bear Memorial Day weekend in Underhill, in northern Vermont, after the bear’s behavior was judged a risk to public safety.
Wildlife responded to a homeowner’s call on May 24 in Underhill, which is located approximately 20 miles west of Burlington.
