The top Republican on the House Game and Fisheries Committee believes the recent meeting to appoint Stephen Smith as the executive director of the Pennsylvania Game Commission possibly violated the Sunshine Act, and he’s asking for the governor to get involved.
A spokesman for the Game Commission said commissioners followed the law when Smith was “appointed to the post during an executive session, followed by a special meeting when the move was finalized by a board vote.”
