Jeremiah Haas: Technology changing the way fish hatcheries operate, too

While technology is advancing in leaps and bounds for recreational fisherman, it is also changing in the hatchery systems as well. (Photo by Jeremiah Haas)

I have spent a lot of time over the years talking about the newest technological toys to help while hunting and fishing. Those include ozone machines, thermal scopes, side scan technology and a host of others.
While all of them have changed the way I hunt and fish, each making life easier, probably the most improbable technological advancement I have seen is what has occurred at some Midwest fish hatcheries, including my own.
