A Westchester County high school student’s painting of a striped bass earned her a top honor in the annual Wildlife Forever Art of Conservation Fish Art Contest.
Jenny Xu, of Dobbs Ferry, N.Y., actually won the Art of Conservation Award in this year’s contest, a distinction that is second only to the Best of Show Award Winner, which was won by Texas youth Mia Macias’ painting of a black crappie. Xu’s painting also finished in third place nationally among students in grades 10-12.
