Ralph Loos: Change coming to the Illinois high school bass fishing series

There will be 30 regionals held on 30 lakes and rivers around Illinois, with the top six boats from each of those tourneys qualifying for the sectional round. (Stock photo)

We’ve reported on the possibility of big changes to the high school bass fishing state championship series, and things have become official. A regional round will be added in 2025, creating a new level of competitive angling for students.
