The long-awaited solar eclipse had a huge impact on Western New York, even though cloudy skies hampered consistent viewing. Occasionally, the sun would peak through the clouds and show its face, partially covered by the moon. By the time I grabbed my glasses and camera, it would slide back behind the clouds.
