Wisconsin Natural Resources Board approves one permanent, several seasonal fish refuges

The board’s approval came Feb. 28 and will continue the year-round fish refuge encompassing a new fish passage at the Kietzsch Park dam on the Milwaukee River. It also establishes seasonal fish refuges in state-managed walleye spawning marshes protecting walleyes throughout the Lake Winnebago system during spring spawning.
