The Michigan DNR will receive $39.8 million from the Wildlife and Sport Fish Restoration Program in 2024. Funds supporting this program are generated through self-imposed excise taxes paid by sportsmen and sportswomen on a variety of hunting, fishing, and boating goods.
This year’s allocation is $5.4 million less than last year.
