Commentary: There’s science available to make decisions about Minnesota’s walleye bag limit. Use it

A story in the March 1, 2024, edition of Outdoor News described a seven-year debate over reducing the statewide walleye daily bag limit in Minnesota from six fish to four.
There are two important issues at hand. First, does the statewide bag limit need to be reduced? And second, and perhaps more importantly, why is this initiative being handled in such an unusual way?
