I wish I could ask Herb Behnke how he would handle the set-to over whether Wisconsin should have a sandhill crane hunting season.
Many readers may remember Behnke as a longtime Natural Resources Board member who offered loads of common sense on resource issues while also being able to build bridges – for the most part – between opposing sides of an issue.
