Controversial when it was announced in the 1960s, Raystown Lake has changed the face of Huntingdon County Pa., forever.
The largest impoundment wholly within the state, the construction of the lake was not greeted with open arms by many of the local families. In all some 1,800 properties were purchased by the federal government with many of those being by eminent domain.
