Living in St. Cloud and fishing Minnesota’s sky-blue waters in the Land of 10,000 Lakes for walleyes, bass, and northern pike, Grant Anderson thought he had it better than most “God’s country,” Anderson, 61, said of Minnesota’s fishing waters.
But then he took a trip to Alaska in 1994. Then another for two weeks in 1996. Then yet another for a month in 1997. Most of his time was spent hiking, camping, and fishing for salmon.
