Volunteers for the Ruffed Grouse Society plan the renewal of alder for wildlife at Tionesta Lake for the second year in 2024.
Tentative dates planned for the alder renewal are two Saturdays, Feb. 24 and March 30. Woodcock, ruffed grouse, warblers, rabbits, mice, voles, bobcats, and fox all use the habitat created by an alder thicket.
