Illinois Mixed Bag: Rare bald eagle sighting on North Branch of Chicago River

A bald eagle hunting for fish along the North Branch of the Chicago River captured the attention of city residents in late January. The sight is rare, as area birders typically see eagles farther south in places like Lake Calumet and Big Marsh Park.
