Find shed antlers in creek beds, streams this spring

At times, trout fishermen will stumble across shed antlers, because bucks will often shake the water off upon exiting a stream, thus shaking the antlers loose. (Photo by Michael Kensinger)

Hunting shed whitetail antlers is a fun and rewarding outdoor experience that one can share with friends and family. Some people even involve the family pet, while others go it alone and keep their shed-hunting spots a secret.
Because they are usually dropped after hunting seasons, finding shed antlers is a reliable way to tell whether a given buck has survived the last hunting season.
