If there’s one thing that’s had the largest impact on deer hunting the past two decades, trail cameras take the top spot. I could make a case for digital mapping platforms now available at our fingertips (for better or for worse), particularly if you’re a public-land hunter, but it’s tough to top the trail cam. After all, even folks who wouldn’t know how to open their mapping app usually run at least one trail cam.
So, in looking at new cameras, what feature am I wary of?
