New York angler dies after falling through ice in Otsego County

One of two brothers who ventured out ice fishing on Basswood Pond, in Otsego County, N.Y., perished after both fell through the ice. On Saturday, Jan. 6 at 2:45 p.m., a subject walking his dog called 911 after seeing two anglers fall through the ice on Basswood Pond, which is located in Basswood Pond State Forest, west of Cooperstown.
