Goldfish are not a new phenomenon on Lake Erie

It has come as a surprise to many people that goldfish – not the cheese-flavored cracker types but the normally aquarium kind – are menacing the Great Lakes watershed.
So much of a startling revelation is this to a score of people that a recent comprehensive story in The New York Times has received national attention, including extensive coverage in various Ohio media venues.
