Minnesota’s metro residents approve natural resources tax hikes

A newly voted sales tax increase will allow the corridor to receive $20 million to improve the area and its natural resources. There weren’t many consequential statewide elections happening in Minnesota on Election Day 2023, but there were a few city elections. On Nov. 7, three Twin Cities metro municipalities had specific questions on their ballots related to natural resources and environment work.
Apple Valley, Bloomington, and Rochester all saw voters approve measures to provide more natural resources dollars and opportunities around each city.
