Many anglers suffer through the months of August and September in hopes of a renewed fall bite that sometimes shows up and sometimes doesn’t.
Back in the day, the fall bite always started on Labor Day weekend. Nowadays, the good fishing doesn’t seem to ramp up until mid-October, and sometimes later than that. Maybe it’s extended warm weather in fall.
