Canada prepares for U.S. anglers in restriction-free ’23

After several years of diminishing COVID-era restrictions, resorts like the Seine River Lodge on Banning Lake are anticipating a return to pre-pandemic status and visitors. (Photo courtesy of Upriver Media)
Americans have faced various closures and restrictions in crossing the Canadian border during the past three years due to the pandemic. This year will be the first year during which restrictions are lifted, and Minnesota anglers can return with only the usual array of regulations in place. Ontario and Manitoba border Minnesota, and they hold some 350,000 lakes or bodies of water. This wealth of potential fishing allows anglers to target different species in a variety of places in the provinces.
