Natural Resources Board (NRB) Chairman Bill Smith, a resident of Washburn County, attended open houses in Douglas and Washburn counties as part of the spring hearing process that brought about open houses for the first time.
In Washburn County Smith was introduced by Larry Damman, the Conservation Congress vice-chairman, and asked to comment on the role of the congress.
