Neshannock arguably ranks among the top five trout streams in northwest Pennsylvania and should be considered in the top two dozen trout fisheries in the entire state.
The 2.3 mile-long, Delayed Harvest, Artificial Lures Only section, extending from the spillway, at the tiny burg of Volant, extending downstream to the Banks Covered Bridge, which crosses the creek on Covered Bridge Road, is managed as well as any DHALO-designated water.
