Change in concealed carry law hits Ohio in big way

A significant change in Ohio’s concealed carry law resulted in a marked decline in new and renewal applications in 2022, according to the Ohio Attorney General’s office. Times have changed from the first time I was issued a new license and the subsequent previous two renewals.
Ohio’s legislature and governor saw to that upheaval late last spring. On June 13, 2022, changes to the law allowed qualifying Ohioans to carry a concealed handgun without a permit.
