‘Increasing archery harvest’ is a top concern of Illinois managers

In its 2023 Deer Report, the National Deer Association surveyed wildlife managers to learn about the top two issues in each state. CWD and archery harvest were Illinois’ top issues. (Photo provided)

Protecting deer from CWD and increasing archery harvest are the two biggest issues facing Illinois deer managers and deer hunters, according to the National Deer Association’s 2023 Deer Report.
The report polled wildlife agencies across the country to learn what is worrying them.
