West Metro Fishing Report – March 18, 2022

West metro still has good ice, edges are getting soft and things will change on a daily basis now. The weather forecast looks like ice angling is coming to an end soon around here. Crappie action is heating up and you can continue to find them in the basins during the day and then moving towards the weedlines in the evenings.

Ice fishing is winding down for me and I will be spending most of my time now on Pool 2 and Pool 4 of the Mississippi River and a trip to Rainy River focusing on walleye until the lakes open up. Be safe!!
