Black Lake sturgeon season lasts less than 6 hours

Dan Mose shows off his sturgeon, the first catch of the Black Lake sturgeon season. The fish measured 60 inches and weighed 51 pounds.

This year’s allocation of sturgeon for Black Lake anglers was seven fish, although DNR officials set a harvest quota of six fish to reduce the risk of over-fishing.
