New York Fishing Report – Jan. 6, 2020

New York anglers, both open water and hard-water hopefuls, have been dealing with a roller-coaster weather pattern – record warmth followed by a cold snap and snow. As a result, ice anglers have been stymied in many areas and Lower Niagara River anglers have been dealing with cloudy water. Still, browns, steelhead and a few walleye have been taken in the Lower Niagara, and Schroon Lake ice anglers have picked up some landlocked salmon and a few lake trout.
