5/62I travel almost non-stop so I decided that I needed a little Huntin' Buddy to come with me! That's when I got Pork Chop, a little Boston Terrier that started hunting with me the day after I got her. The very first trip she joined me on was a hunt in Texas where we shot a big hog. After that she has hardly missed an adventure and has been by my side through all types of hunts, weather and conditions. She also is the most photogenic little pup I've ever seen taking pics with all of my animals as well. I even created an IG account for her to show off all her fun pics! Visit PorkChopWasHere to see her latest adventures. Everything from hogs and axis deer to elk, gators, bear, deer, antelope...you name it she's been there!

58/62There is just something about sitting in a duck blind on a brisk Fall morning with Ellie. As I watch her focus in on the ducks circling the decoys, she simultaneously watches every move my husband makes with the gun. The connection they have during this moment is so special. There are no commands, just the sound of the duck's wings flutter as they buzz the blind . The silence is broken with a single gun shot and before I know it, she's launched herself into the frigid water for the retrieve. It is truly special to watch. With each passing year, we marvel at Ellie's passion for the hunt, and even though at 10 she has slowed down a bit, we never get tired of watching her. I know there will come a time when all we'll have is memories, but for now I know that we will embrace every opportunity that is given to us with our "best huntin buddy". Thank you.
