It’s official: No minimum hunting age on Wisconsin mentored hunts

Opponents had argued that lowering the minimum hunting age was unsafe, while backers say parents should be empowered to decide when their children are ready to hunt.

The new law allows children of any age to participate in a mentored hunt and allows mentor and student to carry their own weapon.
