Southwest Pennsylvania Fishing Report – May 6th, 2016

Keystone Lake (Indiana County) — The Atwood Launch boat dock is now in place for the season. Anglers reported releases of bass and a few muskies. 

Ryerson Station State Park Lake (Greene County) — Numbers of trout were reported on pastebaits and crawlers.

McClintock Run (Somerset County) — Anglers caught nice trout on opening day, with some reporting success on scented nymphs.

Somerset Lake (Somerset County) — Anglers were catching some nice channel catfish at this 253-acre Big Bass Program impoundment in recent weeks.

Quemahoning Reservoir (Somerset County) — A 31-plus inch brown trout was reported in recent weeks. Northern pike were hitting shiners.   

Raccoon Lake (Beaver County) — Green pastebaits, scented crawlers and other typical baits were catching trout at this stocked lake in recent weeks.

Ohio River, Beaver River (Allegheny, Beaver counties) — Catfish were beginning to hit in recent weeks on a variety of standard baits, including French fries.
