Central Wisconsin Fishing Report – March 4th, 2016s

Whitefish action is still outstanding all over Green Bay, with some of the best spots being from Henderson’s Point to Sugar Creek, the deep water around Little Sturgeon, and the Larson’s Reef area. Most of the action is coming on jigs tipped with waxies or spikes. Perch fishing has been going pretty well. Some of the deep-water areas are turning on a bit, including Chaudoir’s Dock, Henderson’s Point, and Little Sturgeon Bay. Use jigs tipped with minnow heads, waxies and spikes, or shiners and rosy reds under tip-ups. Walleye action has been fair, but it will improve as the we move farther into March. The best spots have been from Henderson’s Point and on south in 20 to 30 feet of water. Try Rapala and Oddball jigs tipped with shiners. Some big pike are being caught in the weedy areas.
