St. Lawrence River: Northern pike and bass fishing has been good, notably in Eel Bay. Bass might be deeper but also might be enticed to the surface with top-water lures. Black Lake: Bass, bass and more bass. It’s a great time to fish top-water lures for smallmouths, especially in the evening.

Beaverkill/Willowemoc: Midges, spinners and small Olives are present most mornings while evening hatches were very spotty due to warm water temps. We recommend that late fishing be on one of the tailwaters. Delaware East Branch: Wadeable at last check, with skittish fish due to lower levels. Bugs are Sulphurs, Olives, some midges and Isonychias.  Terrestrials

Bass are offering up the most consistent action on the east of Hudson reservoirs. A few brown trout are still being taken in deeper water on those reservoirs where browns and lakers are present.

Lake George fishing remained solid for both lake trout (remember the 23-inch size minimum) and smallmouth bass. Smallmouths were as deep as 35 feet but also found in the shallows, particularly in the evening.
