St. Lawrence River: Bass anglers may find some fish still on their beds when the regular season opens June 20. Perch action has been hit-and-miss.
Black Lake: The focus has shifted from crappie to bluegill, as well as walleye and northern pike. Bass anglers – a lot of incidental catches were reported despite a ban on catch-and-release angling – will take their shots when the season opens June 20. There’s a 15-inch size minimum on Black Lake bass.
