Dillon Lake (Muskingum County) – The crappie bite below the spillway at this Muskingum County lake has been hit and miss. Try jig and minnow combinations or spoons tipped with live bait. A few saugeyes are also being caught here, but that bite has been inconsistent at best.
Piedmont Lake (Belmont County) – Find the old roadbeds on the lake for the best saugeye bite, locals report. There is anywhere from six to eight inches of ice on the lake. A very few anglers are managing to catch ‘eyes, while many more are catching crappies and catfish through the ice. Try Swedish Pimples or other types of ice spoons tipped with live bait for the best results.
