South Central Pennsylvania Fishing Report – February 13th, 2015

Cowans Gap Lake (Fulton County) — Trout and bluegills were being iced through late January on small jigs tipped with waxworms and PowerBait. 

Susquehanna River (York County) — With ice floes a problem, as conditions allowed, anglers were targeting the warm-water discharge around Brunner Island. Some anglers were catching catfish on shrimp and liver, and others reported walleyes on jigs and minnows or jigs and twister tails, although both bites were overall slow.

Koon Lake (Bedford County) — Bluegills, bass and crappies were reported in mid-January.

Yellow Breeches Creek (Cumberland County) — As conditions allowed, on milder days in January, anglers were catching trout. Stonefly nymph patterns fished in the slower-moving water was productive for some.
